Oregon Sues to Block Deployment of National Guard Amidst Mounting Antifa-Linked Violence

In an effort to stop President Donald Trump from deploying the National Guard to Portland, where Antifa-related violence has continued for months, Oregon officials filed a lawsuit on Sunday. The White House stated that the action is necessary to safeguard federal property following "months of violent riots," but Governor Tina Kotek referred to it as "illegal."
A federal court order prohibiting the Trump administration from sending National Guard troops is sought in the complaint, which was brought by the state of Oregon and the city of Portland.
