Speaker Mike Johnson: Democrat Shutdown Would Be Damaging for Country

With a government shutdown looming, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries want to “claw back the $50 billion put into the rural hospital support structure,” gutting critical healthcare for vulnerable communities.

Even worse, the shutdown would leave “U.S. troops unpaid, federal workers and all the services that everybody relies upon” without support.

“The Democrat shutdown would be damaging for the country. We can’t allow for it.” said Speaker of the House Mike Johnson outside the White House yesterday.
