It mentions NPCs — The term NPC (Non-Player Character) comes from gaming, where NPCs are background characters who follow simple scripts and don’t have the same agency as “player characters.” In spiritual and esoteric circles, it’s become shorthand for people who appear to operate mostly on autopilot — living out preprogrammed patterns without much self-reflection, creativity, or deeper awareness.

NPCs are the challenge moving forward because they are pre-programmed, making them extremely hard to wake up.
