The ruling forces of the social order over a century ago began a long-term process of breaking the human spirit. By designing oppressive and dumbed-down educational systems and degrading culture and the arts, they have valorized nihilism, cynicism, and apathy. The desire to think creatively and critically and to develop one’s potential genius has been almost snuffed out. But it is still possible to ignite the spark of wonder and levitate above the barren desert of human trauma and incoherence—and to perceive and participate in the coming of a glorious renaissance as the culmination of our collective destiny.
