Israeli journalists have released video showing the raising of the Israeli flag at Asad Square in Syria's Quneitra province.

Syrian media report that Israeli forces have set up a checkpoint at the site, which holds symbolic significance for Syrians as it was where late president Hafez Assad raised the Syrian flag in 1974 after the city’s liberation from Israeli occupation.
