The land for the Tesla Gigafactory in Berlin-Brandenburg is approximately 740 acres (300 hectares or 3 km²). However, Tesla originally purchased 741 acres, and the company has indicated plans to utilize or even expand beyond 3 million square meters of total site area. The factory, located in Grünheide, is the first of its kind for the company in Europe.
