Welcome to Our Republic.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The First Amendment isn’t just the first for no reason — it’s the big one. The Framers basically shoved the entire idea of liberty into 45 words. Religion, speech, press, assembly, petition — five nuclear-level freedoms in one neat little package.
