Elon Musk in 2020: A “Mind Virus” Could Infect the Whole World Without Immunity

Here's one of the first times Elon Musk publicly warned about the danger of a “mind virus” that could “infect too much of the world,” during a conversation with Joe Rogan in 2020.

“You look at civilizations through the ages, most of them rose and fell. And I do think, looking at the globalization that we have, at the meme sphere, that there's not enough isolation between countries or regions. If there's a mind virus, that mind virus can infect too much of the world. I actually sympathize with the anti-globalization people because it's like man, we don't want everyone everywhere to be the same for sure. And we need some kind of mind-viral immunity.”
