B612 – Sep 28, 2025 Forgiveness

There are several hard topics in the Bible that believers have trouble accepting and sometimes think that they can ignore or redefine to better suit their ideas. Forgiveness is one of those hard topics.

In this Berean Study, we look at the definition of Forgiveness according to the Bible, and how the modern church has attempted to change the definition into something that they can try without God’s Help.

Believers are not commanded to forgive only when convenient, but every time they are harmed, as an example of the Forgiveness that Yehovah shows to them every day.

The Forgiveness that Yeshua displayed while being crucified requires the help of the Holy Spirit and, without Yehovah’s Power, will always fail when it is tested.

Believers serve a God that desires to forgive and sent His Son to die for the lost, that they might have a way back to the Father.

True Forgiveness from God in the life of a believer requires repentance and obedience to His Voice. True Forgiveness that is demonstrated in the life of a born-again believer does not require repentance, or even being sorry, before Forgiveness is given.

Forgiveness is commanded for the Children of God and the primary beneficiary is for the obedient person, not the offender.

Trust in Yehovah with all of your heart and do not trust in your own abilities. Cry out to Yeshua and accept His free gift of redemption for your life, and be filled with the Holy Spirit of Yehovah. Trust in the Plan that will never fail!
