What to Do at the Hour of our Death

A talk by Father Jorge Loring Miró. A process for his Beatification has started. His great-grandfather came from the United States. The British Embassy helped him and his family after Republican Militia assassinated his father and threatened his family with 'You are next' pointing at him, aged 14.

This is the official prayer towards his Beatification, affirmed by the Vatican.

"Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, who taught us to seek with ardent zeal the greater glory of the Eternal Father and the salvation of the human race, we ask you to always keep in mind the apostolic labors of your servant, Father Jorge Loring Miró, S.J., who strove tirelessly to serve you by exercising his priestly ministry in favor of his brothers and sisters.
Grant us the grace that our Holy Mother Church may soon decree his veneration, so that we may count him among the canonized saints.
We ask you, through his intercession, to grant us the favor we now implore (here your petition). You who live and reign forever and ever. Amen."

Regarding the traditional prayer of Act of Contrition he is referring to in his talk. The Act of Contrition is a Christian prayer expressing sorrow for one's sins and a firm resolution to sin no more and avoid situations that lead to sin. A common version states:

"O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen"
