Upland Police Save Baby in Choking Emergency

On Monday, September 29, 2025, around 2pm, Upland Police Dispatch received a 911 call of a baby not breathing in the area of 13th Street and Campus Avenue. Officers arrived within minutes, saw the baby was unresponsive, and immediately began working on clearing the airway, followed by CPR.

As paramedics arrived, the baby started breathing again and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors believe the baby started choking and went into cardiac arrest. The baby remains in the hospital, but is doing well and will recover.
