Will Boots Ennis & Vergil Ortiz Dare to Be Great at 154?

In the aftermath of the Canelo vs. Crawford fight, many fans are asking, "What's next?" I often wonder if other American-born fighters will follow Canelo and Terence Crawford's lead and make great fights.

For years, I've heard from Oscar Dela Hoya and Eddie Hearn how much of a Superstar Boots Ennis and Vergil Ortiz are as fighters. But I haven't seen any of that from a boxing standpoint.

Vergil Ortiz and Jaron Ennis need to do what Canelo and Terence Crawford have done: fight each other. Fight the other champions at 154 and become undisputed.

It will clear all doubts. American boxing has suffered because of companies like the PBC, Top Rank, and Golden Boy Promotions. Everyone is mad at Dana White and Turki Alashikh because they're taking over the sport.

But the American Promotional companies have opened up for Turki and Dana. They've dropped the ball. Now, all eyes are on the young guys. As for me, I'm tired of hearing how great Vergil Ortiz and Jaron Boots Ennis are as fighters.

I'm also tired of hearing about how much of a superstar they are. I want to see it! Don't tell me, show me.

The fans want to see Vergil and Boots in the ring together. Could you give us that mega fight? Eddie Hearn and Oscar Dela Hoya seem to be afraid to make this fight. Both promoters, Boots and Ortiz, are in the Witness Protection Program.

Brian Norman Jr and Devin Haney are perfect examples of what Boots Ennis and Vergil Ortiz should be doing, and that's fighting each other. They are both young, strong, and in their prime years of boxing.

What's Boots and Vergil's excuse?

If you want to be compared to the greats, you must do what they have done to establish their greatness. So the question I have is this. Will Vergil Ortiz and Jaron Boots Ennis dare to be great by giving the fans what they want to see? What do you think?
