Big Block Modifieds at Cedar Lake

A National career race at Cedar Lake Speedway on Expert difficulty. The track surface is mostly smooth with bumps on the very bottom of the track. The track is a little tight with decent room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get slick just off the bottom and up to the cushion as the night goes on. I find the bottom fastest all night.

There were 3 cautions during this Showcase event. The first flew when Adam Pierson slid up into Darren Smith, with Smith spinning and collecting Jesse Aagaard. The second caution came as Max McLaughlin got into CG Morey, with Morey spinning out. The final caution came as Max McLaughlin once again got into another car, this time it was Mike Mahaney, with Mahaney spinning. Excellent traffic navigation this race, considering the track size. I only made contact with 1 car, as I just barely slid up into Darren Smith's path as he came off the top with momentum. I did get the outside wall once when I first went to run the high line, over-judging the traction off of turn 2. Overall the race was great with plenty of fast paced close quarters racing.
