In the summer of 2024, Daniel Callihan went on a violent crime spree across two states. He stabbed Callie Brunett approximately fifty times inside her home, before kidnapping her 4-and-6-year-old daughters. In Louisiana and Mississippi state courts, as well as federal court, Callihan admitted to those crimes, as well as sexually abusing the 6-year-old and suffocating the 4-year-old.
