President Trump gave Hamas until Sunday at 6pm ET to accept a deal for releasing hostages, or Israel would proceed militarily. Hamas responded hours later, which was confounding, agreeing to release the hostages and seeking further negotiations. For now, we should trust the process because we don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes.
