Aries Full Moon

This full moon "Perfects" on October 6th. Here are a few of my thoughts on it.

"The Aries Full moon is an ever fierce pioneer, with a Libra sun as counterbalance, asking us to turn our inner warrior into a peace maker. It can be hard to lay down one's sword and shield when given every reason to rage against the injustice, the turmoil, the heartache, the shadow of the unknown. The enemy looks like a vicious multi-headed beast who has cleverly spun an ensnaring web. It seems like if we put down our weapons, then it has won, but a fight is what it's looking for. It knows how to respond to violence and is trying to provoke that very reaction.

Hope can seem pointless, and the night can be so dark it begs the question, "Will the sun ever rise again?" It can feel like being torn between wanting to retreat from the world entirely living in isolation, and burying oneself so deep into the daily drudgery and following the rules that goals and desires become aimless. Either extreme never quite fulfilling.

It's about creating a sanctuary somewhere in between. Not just for ourselves, but for others, because we all deserve a safe space without the fear of judgment. A safe place to create, to be true to our authentic selves, and to have the freedom to choose. And that choice being made from informed decision.

Violence begets violence. So, do no harm, but take no shit. No matter what, if it's done for love, it will never be a sacrifice. Courage and bravery don't indicate fearlessness, they indicate willpower despite the fear. Relinquish the stale air of night, and inhale, embracing the promise of a new day."
