Israel funded Hamas. Did Israel create Hamas? You tell me…
Hamas was founded in 1987 by Sheikh Ahmed Yassin as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood.
In the 1970s-80s, Israel “indirectly” supported Mujama al-Islamiya (Hamas precursor led by Ahmed Yassin) to counter the PLO. Actions included registering it as a charity in 1979, providing financial aid, and permitting expansion of mosques, schools, clinics, and an Islamic university in Gaza.
They said this relationship ended around 1989. But did it?
So did Hamas just agree to the deal? Or did Israel?
This is literally the former prime minister of Israel, Ehad Barak saying they funded and boosted Hamas increase their power.
