1965 STAR TREK Unaired Rare 2nd Pilot Episode William Shatner goes Where No Man Has Gone Before... The second Star Trek pilot, titled "Where No Man Has Gone Before", was produced in 1965 and first aired in 1966. It was crucial for convincing NBC to greenlight the series after the network rejected the first pilot, "The Cage". In June of 1976, Tom Snyder hosted an episode of "Tomorrow" that featured a Star Trek cast reunion. The guests included DeForest Kelley (McCoy,) James Doohan (Scotty), and Walter Koenig (Chekov). The episode titled "Star Trek Reunion" includes the guest appearance of Harlan Ellison (Writer of "The City on the Edge of Forever.") They are joined by Al Schuster, big fan of Star Trek and who planned Star Trek Conventions.
