Safe Ride Program
6
People who go out drinking on New Years Eve in Brown County will have to option to get a free ride home. The SafeRide program is part of the Brown County Tavern League, a coalition of bars in Northeast Wisconsin. Around 30 bars participate in the program. It works by having a bartender call either a cab, ride share app or other form of transportation. The Tavern League pays for it. The program only works for people trying to get home. They will not offer free rides to other bars and restaurants. Its main mission is to stop people from driving impaired on New Year's Eve.
