Most people are unaware that the documents used to convict the alleged nazi war criminals were not originals, but transcripts and translations.
The originals are supposedly held in the Hague, but they claim they are in the Washington archive, while Washington claim they are in the Hague.
Transcripts and translations may contain interpolations, excisions, misleading translations and even the fabrication of entire passages, which is why they are not admissible under normal conditions in a court of law.
