Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2:6–7, “And now you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed at the proper time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.” Now as sin grows shameless and darkness accelerates, we are witnessing what happens when the hand of restraint begins to lift.
