X-Out: Resurfaced - Launch Trailer

X-Out was a very early ‘90s shoot ‘em up that distinguished itself not only by not taking place in outer space, but also letting you customize your ship and your weapon loadouts. Even today, it’s not something you commonly see in the genre. X-Out: Resurfaced is a complete ground-up remake with new spritework and effects. The soundtrack has been remastered as well, plus six new tracks added by original composer Chris Huelsbeck. Play single-player or with a friend in local co-op. Or if you’re a real mashochist, you can also take on mirror mode, which has you playing right to left instead of vice-versa.

In truth, this remake came out earlier this year, but it’s now available on GOG as well. So if you’re looking for a DRM-free shoot ‘em up to play on your PC, X-Out Resurfaced has you covered.
