The speech was given at the Berlin Sportpalast following the devastating German defeat at Stalingrad, on February 18, 1943.

In German, this speech was titled "Aufruf an das deutsche Volk", translating to "Appeal to the German People". When you Google it in 2025, it's now called the "Total War" speech. (You know, to make it sound extra scary)
