1073 1 Tim.5.17-25 Pay Them Well, Judge Them Fairly, Choose Them Carefully

Paul instructs Timothy to honour faithful elders, protect them from false accusations, discipline unrepentant ones publicly, and appoint new elders cautiously. Those who labour in preaching and teaching deserve full support. Accusations require two or three witnesses and must be handled without bias. Appointments must not be rushed, for hidden sin or character will eventually be revealed. Elders’ conduct and doctrine must align, preserving the church’s purity, unity, and witness under God’s impartial judgment.
