'Just 8 yrs jail for Kavanaugh plot?': Conservatives erupt; Kennedy’s grilling of Judge resurfaces

A major controversy is erupting after Biden-appointed Judge Deborah Boardman sentenced Sophie (Nicholas) Roske to just 8 years in prison for an attempted assassination plot against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Conservatives are calling the sentence “a mockery of justice,” slamming it as far too lenient. The Department of Justice had sought a 30-year term, but Judge Boardman cited mitigating factors, including Roske’s confession, in handing down the lighter punishment.
