Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy EXTRAS Cantata Mortis & God in Fire

Cantata Mortis & God in Fire is the 17th track off the 2nd disc of the official Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy Original Soundtrack, and was composed by Takeharu Ishimoto, arranged by Kentaro Sato and kidneythieves band member Bruce Somers. The lyrics were written by Team Chaos and DAGMUSIC. It was performed by the band kidneythieves, with lead vocalist, Free Dominguez.

The songs are meant to go together, similar to other notable songs like Queen's "We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions" and Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage/Eclipse."

Cantata Mortis presumably translates to "Song of Death". The song's lyrics depict the madness Feral Chaos has suffered in the war against Cosmos in Shinryu's constant cycle of rebirth.
