Bearing Witness: The World Must Remember October 7, 2023

Two years ago, on October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists launched a terror assault on southern Israel, marking the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. While the world and the media initially responded with sympathy, that support quickly eroded once Israel began defending itself.

Today, two years later, Israel remains engaged in a defensive war in Gaza, determined to dismantle Hamas and secure the release of the 48 innocent Israeli hostages still held captive.

Canada’s news media must not lose sight of the reason Israel is fighting in Gaza: October 7, 2023. Rather than vilifying Israel for defending its very existence against a genocidal terrorist organization, the media must recognize the justness of its cause.
