Steve Hilton exposes the real cost of California’s free healthcare plan for illegal immigrants

Steve Hilton harshly criticized Governor Gavin Newsom’s policy of offering free healthcare to illegal immigrants, stating that Democrats have spread lies about its true cost. According to Hilton, while Newsom claimed the program would cost $3.1 billion, the real figure amounts to $9.5 billion.

Hilton explained that the governor covered part of the expense with $4.8 billion in federal Medicaid funds for emergency services and another $3.9 billion through a mechanism known as the “provider tax,” which he called a scam.

He also warned that the cost will continue to rise: “Next year, Gavin Newsom’s illegal healthcare plan will cost $12 billion. That means every Californian will pay around $900 a year for free healthcare for illegal immigrants.”

Hilton vowed that if he becomes governor, he will completely eliminate the program: “It’s outrageous, and it’s not going to happen when I’m governor.”
