Rescued hiker recounts 'extremely difficult' Everest snowstorm

A 41-year-old Chinese trekking enthusiast said he had “never gone through something this difficult before” after being evacuated from an unexpected snowstorm near the eastern face of Mount Everest in Tibet on Monday (October 6), as rescue teams continued efforts to bring others to safety.
