Strategic Planning - Communicate the WHY & WIIFM

Many organizations tend to go through the strategic planning process and tell everyone what will be done and what they have to do.
This does not generate buy-in or understanding.

The most important aspect to communicate with your team from top to bottom is WIIFM (What's In It For Me).
This helps the workplace culture, motivation, retention, attracting others, ....

If your organization is having to FORCE everyone to do the strategic plan, then the most common reasons are:
1) You did not communicate the WHY & WIIFM
2) They don't believe in the plan - they see it as incorrect
3) You put too much on everyone's plate
