Session 5: The Catholic Faith: A Bird's-Eye View.

We open this session with three powerful witnesses to the Catholic spirit: St. Francis of Assisi, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and the Battle of Lepanto—Two very different expressions of the same faith, each showing how love of Christ transforms the world and a battle that would alter the course of Christian Europe in its fight with the Muslim Turks.
From there, we turn to the heart of the Catholic Faith itself. A very high overview of what it means to be Catholic and what Catholics believe. This session serves as a springboard for the rest of the class. It’s a bird’s-eye view of the Faith, preparing us to go deeper in the sessions ahead as we dive deeper into a Catholic vision of reality.
