On October 14, the EU Council will vote on a regulation to combat child sexual abuse, which, behind its stated purpose, represents a comprehensive attack on civil and freedom rights through total surveillance of private communication, Germany's AfD leader Alice Weidel says.

💬 “The planned EU-wide chat control is an absolutely totalitarian project. It means the de facto abolition of digital privacy. It amounts to the abolition of the secrecy of correspondence applied and exacerbated to modern communication,” she explains.

She stresses the risks of such control, including the suppression of free speech and political dissent.
