Reverse ATM’s are being installed outside buildings that have declared “This is a cash free building”.

The War on Cash is getting even more organized. Imagine leasing space in a shopping plaza or mall and part of your contract was that your business cannot accept cash. I wonder what larger efforts are at play here. Are they being incentivized by payment processors? 🤔 As consumers, we have entered a time where extra vigilance is required to stay informed about the businesses we support. The easy thing to do is to just be compliant. Go with the flow. Do as you are told. However, if enough of us have the fortitude to see what is coming (CBDC’s & digital payments = control) and change our habits, we just might impact the War on Cash. Once we lose the ability to buy and sell without government oversight, we will never get it back.

8 years ago, VISA dug their heals in and advanced their position in the War on Cash by offering a $10k incentive to businesses willing to not take cash as a form of payment. VISA’s CEO at the time literally said “We are at war with cash”.

What Can We Do?

Support businesses that accept cash. I’m not going to pretend I use cash for every single purchase. However, I do make an effort to use cash on a regular basis. When a business doesn’t accept cash, like a restaurant, I may choose to not eat there and let them know why. We have truly entered a time where organized and intentional consumerism is vital to our future freedoms.
