Politico Earns The Ratio With Take About The Comey Indictment Setting A Bad DOJ Precedent

Posted • October 8, 2025: Watching Democrats and many in the media clutch their pearls over the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey while claiming that there's an unprecedented weaponization of the justice system happening under Trump has been truly amazing. All of that is happening while the Dems hope nobody remembers what took place during the previous administration. There have also been those claiming then President Biden avoided commenting on the lawfare efforts against Donald Trump, which is also laughable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7zSUlZY46c — Remember "no one is above the law"? —— Joe Biden @JoeBiden: “No one is above the law.” — Readers added context: On December 1, 2024, President Joe Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, for crimes covering nearly 11 years of “offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024.” —— Nice Community Note on that one!

Add up everything that happened during the four years that President Autopen was in office, and the Dems and their lib media water carriers are going to pretend it either never happened or that, yes, it happened, but the effort was justified. A Politico White House correspondent is just going to pretend what we're seeing with the Comey is totally unprecedented: —— POLITICO @politico: “How far will the Justice Department go in prosecuting the people Trump wants prosecuted — including ex-FBI director James Comey? On Politico Playbook Pod, Dasha Burns argues the DOJ's decision will open a "pandora's box" for this administration — and future ones.” —— Funny that they didn't seem to mind when the Pandora's box was actually opened, which was during the previous administration. Spying on the incoming president and the FBI falsifying evidence to get an investigation started also sets a precedent.

Are these people demented? I get why people don't like the prosecution of Comey, but the idea that it's new or some kind of escalation is absolutely delusional after much more unjustified Trump prosecutions. Cue up all the mugshots from the previous few years… Pandora's box was opened long ago. Enjoy the equal and opposite reaction. https://video.twimg.com/tweet_video/G2vSF8TaMAAsEMi.mp4 —— https://pbs.twimg.com/media/G2vhVzmXsAAtHxJ?format=jpg&name=large —— And Politico wonders why trust in "journalism" has gone down the drain.
