How to build a Van der Graaf Generator - Part 2 - Making the tower

This describes making the tower for the generator it's made from a plastic pipe 11cm in diameter and builder's board 17.5cm wide by 1.8cm thick and is 60 cm high (in the end this thing will be 1.2m high - that's big) there are 8 square pieces 15cm by 15cm with a hole through the centre which fit over the pipe and for corona shields. The base plate is made from builders board and is 30cm by 30 cm
