If you're a Father, you're a Leader

Don't do it for a pat on the back.

It's tempting.

I'm not perfect, I still catch myself occasionally looking for praise after fixing something or cleaning something extra.

But a father should serve his family and need nothing in return.

He doesn't thrive off of appreciation.

It's his purpose that drives him.

He's a provider and a protector.

A lion chases hyenas away from his pride when threatened. He doesn't need asked.

The pride relies on him for their livelihood.

If hes not strong enough a new leader takes his place.

It's instinct.

It's his nature. No pats on the back needed.

He IS the leader. It's just what he does.

Whether the dishes need done, the floor needs scrubbed, toilet cleaned, if you can do it...just do it.

Acts of service without telling our wives about it is one of the daily checklist points in our program.

We are intentional about becoming the best husbands we can be.

We don't leave it up to chance.

Leaders do what must be done!

If you're a father, you're a leader.

Lead!
