A Minnesota state senator was arrested after breaking into her stepmother’s Detroit Lakes home, dressed all in black and carrying a sock-covered flashlight. Investigators say she admitted to climbing through a window and trying to swipe her late father’s belongings after his $172,000 estate was awarded to his spouse. Caught red-handed and hiding in the basement, Nicole Mitchell told officers: "Obviously I’m not good at this."
