This time we play Valor Mortis

Valor Mortis is a first-person action soulslike game developed by One More Level, the creators of Ghostrunner, set in an alternate 19th-century Europe during a fictionalized version of the Napoleonic Wars.
Players take on the role of William, a soldier of Napoleon’s Grande Armée who has been resurrected from the dead with a corrupting power known as the Nephtoglobin pulsing through his veins.
This power allows him to wield supernatural abilities, such as projecting flames from his palms, while battling grotesque, plague-infected abominations that were once his comrades.
The game features a combat system centered on parries, dashes, and visceral finishers using a variety of melee and ranged weapons, with each death offering a chance to grow stronger through a progression system that includes leveling up stats and unlocking new abilities.
The game is currently in a public global playtest phase, which began on October 6, 2025, and will run through October 13, 2025, on Steam, allowing players to experience the pre-alpha build and provide feedback.
Valor Mortis is tentatively scheduled for a 2026 release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles.
