Why money is broken

Fiat currencies are causing enormous amounts of economic harm. They currently cause inflation and increasing asset prices, which can contribute towards increasing wealth inequality. Commodity money or commodity backed money are some historical alternatives, however these aren’t good solutions either.

In this video I discuss the two biggest problems with money - inflation and money that is storable. I explain how demurrage money and deflation are solutions to these problems and how they can help to create a more effective system of money.
