In a historic move, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar announced that India will upgrade its technical mission in Kabul to a full-fledged embassy, marking the first major diplomatic engagement with the Taliban since 2021. During his meeting with Afghan FM Amir Khan Muttaqi, Jaishankar emphasized India’s commitment to Afghanistan’s development, sovereignty, and regional stability.
