This week's video is the bio of my first release from, The Cutting Room Floor, titled, In Love With the Night. Containing information on its conception, history and theme. See the link below 👇 to view it.
I have completed the bio, and A-Cappella version of what will be the third release from my first album, Somber Moon, titled, Whole.
Our review this week is a book titled, A Wrinkle in Time.
A Wrinkle in Time is a young adult science fantasy novel written by American author Madeleine L'Engle. First published in 1962,The main characters – Meg Murry, Charles Wallace Murry, and Calvin O'Keefe – embark on a journey through space and time, from galaxy to galaxy, as they endeavor to rescue the Murrys' father and fight The Black Thing that has intruded into several worlds.
The novel offers a glimpse into the war between light and darkness, and good and evil, as the young characters mature into adolescents on their journey,[4] and wrestles with questions of spirituality and purpose, as the characters are often thrown into conflicts of love, divinity, and goodness. See Wikipedia for more indepth knowledge.
This is a short book meant for all ages. It is a story about three children who go on an Extra dimensional journey.
Meg Murry, Charles Wallace, are looking for their father, Dr. Alex Murray. Who is a renowned scientist that is missing. Along with a fellow schoolmate Calvin, a new friend and neighbour.
They travel with three guides: Mrs, Who, Mrs Whatsit, and Mrs Whitch. Who are ancient entities of cosmic origin? They use what is referred to as the Tesseract to travel. They call it “Tessering.”
In geometry, a tesseract or 4-cube is a four-dimensional hypercube, analogous to a two-dimensional square and a three-dimensional cube.[1] Just as the perimeter of the square consists of four edges and the surface of the cube consists of six square faces, the hypersurface of the tesseract consists of eight cubical cells, meeting at right angles. The tesseract is one of the six convex regular 4-polytopes.
The tesseract is also called an 8-cell, C8, (regular) octachoron, or cubic prism. It is the four-dimensional measure polytope, taken as a unit for hypervolume.[2] Coxeter labels it the γ4 polytope.[3] The term hypercube without a dimension reference is frequently treated as a synonym for this specific polytope.
The Oxford English Dictionary traces the word tesseract to Charles Howard Hinton's 1888 book A New Era of Thought. The term derives from the Greek téssara (τέσσαρα 'four') and aktís (ἀκτίς 'ray'), referring to the four edges from each vertex to other vertices. Hinton originally spelled the word as tessaract.[4]
The word tesseract has been adopted for numerous other uses in popular culture, including as a plot device in works of science fiction, often with little or no connection to the four-dimensional hypercube; See Wikipedia for more indepth knowledge.
During their travels they see many different realities and planes of existence. They
face a powerful force on their quest. Referred to as “It.” Not Stephen King's, Pennywise. But a monster much more horrible. A being that wants absolute control over all aspects of life. Where it wants no individuality. No freedom of thought, action or speech. Something that does not wish to be questioned. It only wants absolute obedience. Controlling its citizens with AI’s and assimilation. Having only one punishment. Sounds familiar???
This is a beautiful story full of interesting characters. It speaks about individual uniqueness. An interesting blending of science and magical imagination.
The books lessons of individual strength. That you cannot expect others to save yourself. That responsibility is your own power.
That it is ok to be imperfect and fallible. Despite our flaws we can be our own heroes. As long as we are willing to put in the effort, learn and grow. That when we face our fear we can truly break the barriers that hold us down.
I fully recommend this story for anyone of all ages. One that should be revisited as we grow. May it help us all to become enlightened.
