# Intro
Harvester is a cult-classic, ultra-violent point-and-click horror adventure originally released in 1996, now revived for modern platforms. Developed by DigiFX Interactive and written/directed by Gilbert P. Austin, the game thrusts you into the bizarre town of Harvest in 1953, where you — as amnesiac Steve Mason — must unravel a grotesque mystery involving a missing fiancée, a skull & spinal cord centerpiece, and a secretive cult known as The Order of the Harvest Moon. Harvester combines FMV sequences, dark satire, puzzle solving, and occasional combat to deliver a disturbing narrative that polarizes as much as it intrigues.
