Real ICE agents don't ask for money, threaten deportation to extort funds, or call to warn you about an upcoming arrest. If you encounter potential imposters, document the event, report it to the ACLU or a legal service provider, and contact your local law enforcement to report the scam.

How to identify them
Civilian clothing: Agents often wear plain clothes and a black bulletproof vest that may say "POLICE" on the front or back.
Local police uniforms: This is different from local police officers who wear distinct, identifiable uniforms.
