INGREDIENTS

Chicken Marinade

▢ 12 oz chicken breast (boneless, skinless - cut into thin, long strips)
▢ 2 teaspoon cornstarch (with equal part cold water)
▢ 1 teaspoon cooking oil
▢ 1 pinch salt
▢ 1 large egg white (optional for the marinade)

Firecracker Chicken Sauce

▢ 1 teaspoon sesame oil
▢ 1 teaspoon Shaoxing wine (or use dry sherry or mirin or rice vinegar)
▢ 1 tablespoon soy sauce (I suggest low-sodium soy sauce)
▢ ¼ cup water
▢ 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Stir Fry

▢ 2 tablespoon cooking oil
▢ ½ large red bell pepper (cut into strips)
▢ ½ large yellow bell pepper (cut into strips)
▢ ½ large yellow onion (diced or cut into chunks, or use white onion)
▢ 8 whole dried chili peppers
▢ 1 teaspoon ground ginger
▢ 1 teaspoon garlic (minced)
▢ 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or use Sambal Oelek chili paste)
▢ 1½ teaspoon black beans (drained, rinsed, or use black bean paste)
