New legislation being introduced today will require millers and flour producers to fortify non-wholemeal wheat flour with folic acid from the end of 2026.
The legislation will prevent 200 cases of debilitating brain and spine defects in babies every year will be prevented by fortifying non-wholemeal wheat flour with folic acid.
**what they are NOT mentioning is that the other 69 million, that may or maybe eat flour based products, may have adverse effects from additional folic acid. Make it make sense!! 🤨
