James Gunn Getting FIRED if Paramount Buys WBD? The DCU is COOKED!

Warner Bros is getting set up for a sale and Paramount is obviously circling the wagon. What was a rumor turned out to be true as the initial buyout off from David Ellison was rebuffed by David Zaslav, but it's hardly a sign a deal is off the table. As WBD is deep in debt, bringing in a cash rich, no nonsense owner makes all the sense in the world, but is bad news for the wasteful creatives lining WB's halls.

Chiefly among those ranks is DC Studio's James Gunn. The public opinion on Gunn is rapidly plummeting and the admission Supergirl is going to be more of the same is not being met with anywhere near the enthusiasm the struggling franchise requires. A new rumor is suggesting that if Paramount is successful in their merger with WB, one of the first people out the door will be James Gunn and the he will be replaced by current Warner Bros. film chief Mike De Luca to salvage DC going forward.

Gunn knows his time is up and on the way out, he is trying to get as many high paying gigs for his friends and family as possible; credibility for DC is not his highest priority.
