Hundreds of “No Kings Day” protests are set to take place across the country on October 18th, with the largest gatherings expected in Southern California. Organizers say the demonstrations are meant as a peaceful stand against what they call “authoritarian power grabs” by the Trump administration — continuing the momentum from earlier protests held in June. Meanwhile, in Portland, naked bike riders took to the streets in what they described as a “quintessentially Portland” protest against federal troops and government overreach.
