When Edward Kukish’s decomposing body was discovered in August 2024, investigators realized the remains matched a missing-person report from months earlier — and the evidence traced straight back to Dandre Owens.

That means Owens had already killed once before (the hotel murder of Brittani Bailey) and was already in custody before detectives even found the desert victim. If those remains hadn’t surfaced, no one would’ve ever known.
