Why is leadership the most important element in the Church? Well, we used to have a saying in ministry that summed it up … as the leader goes, so goes the church. Scripture tells us that leaders will be judged with a stricter judgment because of their influence. You see, leaders influence others. They convince people about doctrine, about worship, about prayer, and a host of other spiritual values that the Bible Teaches. However, while leaders influence, they can also mislead. Most leaders who do mislead do not do it intentionally, but until someone steps in to do a course correction in the church, the leader remains stuck.
