CO2 levels at record high, says World Meteorological Organization

Carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere have reached the highest ever recorded, potentially further warming the planet and leading to more extreme climate events, a new report published on Wednesday (October 15) by the World Meteorological Organization found. "Every single molecule which is emitted in the atmosphere will have a global impact," Oksana Tarasova, WMO senior scientific officer, told a briefing in Geneva.
